Visual Inspection

This is the first form of NDT as it utilizes natural sense that most human were born with. However, AMI-NDT Inspectors are certified to perform inspections as they are tested to ensure that their vision meets required standards, color perception is good and the various vision aids such as appropriate lighting, mirrors, borescope are available as required. The technicians are also highly skilled in locating identifying discontinuities in materials. This inspection method is very portable and can be performed at remote locations. Photography may be used to permanently record findings.
